Frequently Asked Questions

How do we determine which residents will receive the service?

Every resident will receive the valet trash service from day one. Regardless of whether it is a newly constructed lease-up, an existing community, or which billing option you choose. You will always know beforehand exactly what your valet trash cost will be.

Will I be charged immediately for my entire community?

No, we have very flexible terms that allow you to begin providing this wonderful amenity in your community according to your budget needs. We never charge for 100% of your property’s total number of units.

Do you unload in our existing community’s compactor?

Yes. We will also run and clear items left in front of the compactor on pick up nights and monitor the compactor’s status and notify management when a haul is needed.

Will there be a bunch of cans sitting in my breezeways for my staff or residents to deal with?

No. As part of our normal operations we sit empty containers directly in front of doors for residents to bring inside after service and we also remove cans from breezeways that are not being used by residents. Your breezeways will appear as normal during business hours. Your property will be assigned a supervisor who’s role, among others, is to recycle and clean soiled containers.

How will residents respond to paying for valet trash?

That depends on how your team presents the service. Once residents see the great value of this service compared to residential curbside service once per week, and compare the living experience on another property without front-door trash service, they’ll love it!

What about residents who say they’ll never use the service?

They still benefit from it! Valet Trash service eliminates the storing of trash by their neighbors in apartments, on balconies, and in breezeways, especially during unpleasant weather. This in turn greatly reduces the chance of pest infestations for everyone.
